Precious Poems: A Journey of Hope
by Rita Aiken Moritz     $14.95

God uses broken people, broken lives, and broken hearts. He takes those broken things and uses them to make something beautiful. That process is a journey, and these poems are about just such a journey. While we often can't choose our circumstances, we can always choose our responses. For me, for today, I choose joy. You can too.

  So You Love a Prodigal:
What You Can Do, What You Can't Do, Why You Can't Quit

by Rita Aiken Moritz     $15.95

When some of my kids first began to act out in destructive ways, my mom was shocked and said, ?I would have expected this kind of behavior from almost any of the children in our family except yours.? Really? Why would she have thought such a thing?
Because we were active in our church, and the kids were in a Christian school, she may have thought our family was exempt. If that?s what she thought, she was wrong and incredibly na?e to think kids from Christian homes don?t ever act out.
But don?t we sometimes wonder the same thing? I have learned some things from the Word of God, from other people who love a prodigal, and from my own journey, and some of those things may help you. Many things are beyond your control and mine, but there are some things we can do to make our situation more tolerable.
Some of those things may also help the people we love, including our prodigal. Most important of all, they may help us to help ourselves. We can make some choices and take some actions that will help us to survive and even thrive in the midst of our pain.
I want you to know God uses broken vessels. My own broken heart drove me to the Scriptures searching for answers and hope. In spite of my pain or maybe because of it, I found both.
