Rita holds a State-Certified Instructor Credential in Alabama Court Referral Program of the Alabama Administrative Office of Courts and regularly teaches Level 1 and Level 2 classes for North Alabama Court Referral Services.

February 22: Rita served as the host and made two presentations at the Writer's Anonymous' Mid-Winter Writers Conference held at the Pell City Center, located on the campus of Pell City High School. "How Do You Measure Success?" (Keynote) and Non-Fiction, Inspirational, and Devotionals: The Nuts and Bolts¬Ě (Workshop).

January, 2014:

January 25: Rita made the keynote presentation "So You Love a Prodigal: Can God Use Your Broken Heart?" at the 16th Annual Women's Conference, sponsored by Di's Hope and held at Cuba Baptist Church in Cuba, AL.

August 14: Rita held a Public Poetry Reading of "Precious Poems: A Journey of Hope" at the Haston Free Public Library in North Brookfield, MA.
August 11: At the invitation of the Senior Pastor, Steve Reynolds, Rita made three presentations, entitled "Love is Forgiving" at each of the three morning worship services of Capital Baptist Church located in Annandale, Virginia. August 9: At the invitation of the Senior Pastor, Steve Reynolds and Bobby Vickers the Small Group Leader, Rita made a presentation to the Friday Seniors' Ministry and Bible Study of Capital Baptist Church located in Annandale, Virginia. The subject of this presentation was "What You Can and Can Not Do."

The Alabama Baptist: (August 8, 2013 at Page 14) "SYSK = Someone You Should Know" by Julie Payne: "Rita Moritz is a writer and member of Seddon Baptist Church, Pell City. She speaks at churches and civic organizations and serves as an instructor in Alabama's court referral program. She blogs at RitaMoritz.com. She has written a book by the same name that is currently being considered by an agent. In addition, her book, "Precious Poems: A Journey of Hope" is available. In my heart I want to encourage people," she said.

December 10: Rita interviewed Yvette Maher for a section of narrative for "So You Love a Prodigal." Yvette Maher is currently serving as Associate Pastor, 50+L.I.F.E and Women's Ministries New Life Church. She has previously served as Senior Vice-president of Family Ministries as well as Senior Communications Specialist at Focus on the Family. In her 20 year tenure at Family Ministries, Yvette authored many articles for Focus on the Family Magazines and appeared frequently on the daily broadcast, Weekend Magazine and host for the live weekly webcast Your Family Live! She is a frequent speaker at women's conferences and retreats around the globe. Her experience at Focus on the Family has given Yvette valuable insight and a heightened sensitivity to the many challenges people face in today's society. Her combination of an engaging and humorous personality, along with knowledge of spiritual principles and truths, allows Yvette to encourage people to value their God-given design and to impact their homes, communities and the world for Christ.

The subject of her presentation was: "So You Love a Prodigal What you can do, what you can't do, and why you can't quit." Why this this subject? Rita would say, "People are hurting, and I want them to know that no matter how difficult their circumstances might be, there is hope."
