The vision of Precious Prodigal is to provide help and hope for hurting families.

The mission of Precious Prodigal is to provide help, hope, and encouragement to the families of prodigals so those families can grow spiritually and find peace, serenity, and even joy in their lives. God uses broken things, and we believe God will use people in spite of and perhaps even because of their circumstances.

1.  God will not take us where He has not gone before us, and He will be with us every step of the way (Deuteronomy 31:8).

2.  God is a personal God, and His purpose is going to be and is being fulfilled in our lives whether we understand the process or not (Jeremiah 1:5).

3.  God’s plan for us is that we will enjoy our life in the days He has given us because that is our "portion under the sun" ( Ecclesiastes 9:9).

4.  God’s plan is to give us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

5.  Our present situation is only one chapter in our story. God isn’t finished with us, so our story isn’t finished yet. Because of that, we cannot quit (Galatians 6:9).

     The purpose of Precious Prodigal is to provide a sounding board for hurting parents as well as a place where they can both find and share strength and hope, based on their own experiences.
      Precious Prodigal will neither offer advice nor encourage others to do so. Rather than telling or suggesting what a person should do, we will share from our own experience what we did and whether and how that worked for us. If you are the parent, sibling, spouse, child or friend of a prodigal, you are welcome here.   
     If you yourself are a prodigal who has been restored to your family, you are also welcome to share your story with us here. We want to hear from you.
